TakeTakeTake is the chess app co-founded by Magnus Carlsen.
Goal
Turn a long interview into a short people would finish and talk about.
Hook
It opens on Giri saying “I didn’t think these young players would become better than us.” That sets expectations and curiosity straight away, and the faces of the top young players on screen reinforce the message and help retention.
What I did
I condensed a few minutes of interview into a focused 50-second short, keeping only the strongest moments while preserving context. I designed custom visuals in Figma and animated cut-out player faces made in Photoshop to keep the pacing dynamic.
